NanoMat is partner of the ENSEMBLE3 project (Centre of ExcelleNce for nanophotonicS, advancEd Materials and novel crystal growth-Based technoLogiEs). The aim of the ENSEMBLE3 project is to create a new "Center for Excellence" in the field of crystal growth technologies, including the production of functional materials for applications such as nanophotonics, optoelectronics, telecommunications, medicine and photovoltaics.

Working groups of Biomaterials

NanoMat initiates a working group on Biomaterials. The kick-off meeting took place at the end of January 2018. The focus is on strengthening individual potentials, synergies and cooperation between the partners, coming from academia and industry, in the long term.

Normierung und Standardisierung von Nanotechnologien

Unzureichende oder fehldende Normung und Standardisierung von neuen Technologiefeldern kann eine Barriere zur kommerziellen Nutzung darstellen. In den Themenfeldern "Graphene Materials" und "Printed Electronics" hat sich NanoMat als Partner in den einschlägigen internationalen Gremien etabliert, und NanoMat Mitarbeiter sind als Experten berufen in ISO/TC229 (Nanotechnologies), IEC/TC113 (Nanotechnologies) und IEC/TC119 (Printed Electronics). Weiterhin agiert NanoMat als Projektpartner im Graphene Flagship Konsortium und ist dort für das Thema Standardisierung von Graphen und Graphen-Materialien verantwortlich.

New H2020 Project "LiRichFCC"

With Max Fichtner at the HIU as coordinating PI, LiRichFCC will explore an entirely novel class of cathode materials for Li-ion batteries. NanoMat assisted in proposal writing and submission and will be responsible for project administration.

Graduate School MERAGEM

The new Graduate School  „Modelling, Design, Implementation and Automation of Printed Electronics and Materials“ (MERAGEM) will start in 2016 as a collaboration between the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Fachhochschule Offenburg. Focus of the Graduate School will be the use of printed technology for ICT applications.
